For the Kindle Fire to make any moves in the tablet world it is going to have to be more than just an e-Reader.
And what Amazon is smart enough to know is that any viable tablet -- whether it be the iPad or the Samsung Galaxy Tab -- needs apps.
So Amazon is making sure that some of the most popular apps on other tablets will be available for the Kindle Fire.
Starting next week, the Fire will be a virtual home to thousands of Android apps, including some of the most popular ones out there.
Facebook, Netflix, Twitter, Pandora and Rhapsody are just a few of the big names that will be ready for download on the $199 tablet starting in a week.
Perfect timing since the tablet will be available for purchase on Nov. 15.
