Whether its battling Samsung for patent rights or fighting off complaints by Google-backed Motorola, Apple has been busy.
While some have thought that all those suits were Apple doing its due diligence to protect itself and its product in an open market, its latest legal filing might suggest otherwise.
Tuesday Apple filed a request with a U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York to sue bankrupt Kodak for violating its patents.
Kodak just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this month and many think the company may not survive too much longer.
If Apple is given permission to move forward with the suit, it will likely file a complaint is U.S. District Court in Manhattan.
Kodak and Apple have a long history. The camera maker sued Apple in 2010 because it said that Apple violated its patent over an iPhone feature that allows users to preview an image.
