Facebook announced some updates for it's plugin system.
Third party sites using the plugin will now have a comment system that supports Hotmail (for those of you still stuck in 1998) a darker colorscheme and permalinks to specific comments.
Until now, says NewsGrange, users had to log in using Facebook, AOL or Yahoo credentials. As of today, Hotmail is supported.
In addition, developers will now have the ability to use the Graph API to search and export comments, allowing websites to highlight the most interesting comments, perform analysis on the comments, reward top commenters, and use the comments to improve SEO on their site.
