Want a job? Google is hiring but be prepared to get in line.
The Mountain View-based search giant announced last week that it would be hiring 6,200 people to its team.
Google found out first hand what its ranking of being one of the best place to work has. The company said it received more than 75,000 job applications last week from across the globe.
This is not the first time Google has seen so many resumes. In May 2007 the search giant received tens of thousands of resumes but it was 15 percent less than the amount received last week.
Google currently employs 24,400 well fed and handsomely compensated employees across the globe.
But the company needs more people to help it expand its influence into mobile devices and advertising.
