There are cool gestures, and then there's this: Dedicating a jet plane to the memory of Steve Jobs.
According to MacRumors.com, Virgin America is dedicating one of its Airbus A320s to the former Apple CEO, even emblazoning one of Jobs' best-known sayings on the side. "Stay hungry, stay foolish" will be on the plane itself, just below the pilot's cockpit window.
If there was an airline to do something like this for Jobs, it would be Virgin. It's the only airline with its headquarters in Silicon Valley (based in Burlingame), and it also has a founder - Richard Branson - known to be a bit crazy, and think way outside the box.
Not long ago, Virgin struck up a deal with Google to put wifi inside its planes. To commemorate the deal, Virgin had skywriting planes spell out "Virgin Loves Google" in the sky above the Bay Area.
Next time you see a jet flying overhead, who knows? it may be flying in honor of Steve Jobs.
