Ever since the iPhone 4S and iOS 5 have been released, there have been widespread complaints about the iPhone's dismal battery life, especially on the latest model.
Apple appears to have finally figured out the issue, as a new software update is coming soon to fix the power-hungry problem.
Here's Apple's terse statement:
"A small number of customers have reported lower-than-expected battery life on iOS 5 devices. We have found a few bugs that are affecting battery life and we will release a software update to address those in a few weeks."
Small number, big number, whatever. What's important is that the issues should be taken care of soon, so you can stop carrying that power cable around with you in your pocket all day.
