The parade of big names stopping by for a guest appearance on FOX's hit Glee just grew by one.
Anne Hathaway, the star of Love and Other Drugs, plans to join the show's cast this season as a lesbian aunt to Kurt, reports the New York Daily News.
"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy told People in an interview that Hathaway came up with the concept for her character.
"She's already created [her role]," he said. "She wants to play the lesbian aunt of Chris Colfer. Because everyone needs a lesbian aunt."
The deal to bring the 28-year-old Hathaway to the show was completed on the evening of the Golden Globes, the same night Glee picked up its second straight Globe for best comedy or musical, and co-stars Colfer and Jane Lynch scored the best supporting actor and actress awards for a TV series respectively.
But apparently Hathaway wasn't the only celeb to pitch Murphy on a guest spot.
"They always do," he said. "I can't even think of who. But it's so sweet. I think they support the show because it's about the arts," he said.
