Millions of people watch the Super Bowl for the commercials, but a certain hit TV musical is set to provide a reason to stick around after the Vince Lombardi trophy is hoisted by the new champions.
The cast of "Glee" will perform Michael Jackson's "Thriller" on the show's post-Super Bowl episode, reports Entertainment Weekly.
The episode, likely one of the most costly ever produced for television, will include the homage to "Thriller", though it will be mashed up with an as yet-to-be chosen song. The episode will also feature covers of songs from the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry.
In keeping with the night's sports theme, the episode will focus on a local high school championship game and the cheerleading squad's regional competition. Fans can expect the "Thriller" set piece during halftime of the in-show football game.
And if fans of the show needed even more incentive to watch, two well-liked characters - Blaine and Coach Beiste - are also set to make an appearance.
Somewhere in the distance, the ghost of Vincent Price is laughing.
