The driver of a tractor trailer escaped injury when the vehicle burst into flames on State Route 52 Tuesday.
The fire was reported at 10:28 p.m. on the westbound SR-52, just east of Interstate 15, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The fire was knocked down less than 20 minutes later, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department (SDFD).
Three to four vehicles were involved in a collision before the fire, officials said.
No other information was available.
