Computers seized by police during a raid on tech blogger Jason Chen's home after the now infamous iPhone prototype discovery have been taken to an FBI forensics lab in Menlo Park, according to a report in the Daily Post.
FBI agents will scour the computers for evidence of the theft of an iPhone prototype that an Apple engineer allegedly left at a Redwood City in late April. Chen published photos and details of the prototype on the Gizmodo website, causing a firestorm of chatter and speculation about the discovery.
Agents got a search warrant and took computers, hard drives, digital cameras and cell phones from Chen's Fremont home. They also took his American Express bill and copies of his checks. Chen was not arrested.
