The Marin teacher whose body was found in a creek bed ten days after she disappeared killed herself, the Chronicle reported.
The paper sourced the Marin County coroner who listed Debra Schmitt's cause of death as a suicide.
The Terra Linda High School teacher left a note for her English class that read "Thank you everyone." The students found the note and that touched off a search for the 53 year old from Ross.
The paper said the autopsy found Schmitt had taken a deadly and intentional mixture of alcohol and prescription drugs.
