Demolition of Terminal C is underway at Mineta San Jose International Airport, city officials said.
Razing of the South Concourse of Terminal C is expected to take two weeks.
Beginning in mid-August, the central part of the terminal will be demolished with work there expected to be complete by mid-September.
Work on the final portion, the north ticketing area, will begin in late September.
The excavated areas will become an additional 1,400 parking adjacent to Terminal B. Construction will begin in October and is expected to be completed in the spring.
