All lanes of the westbound Interstate 580 connector to westbound Interstate 80 in the East Bay have reopened after a big-rig caught fire early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The big-rig was reportedly carrying cooking oil.
The CHP said the big-rig was first reported to be on fire at 5:16 a.m. in the far right lane.
