Port officials in San Francisco made a startling discovery Saturday morning.
A decomposed body surfaced offshore near Pier 50, as port officials were removing pieces of dry dock when the body floated up from underneath.
Officials said they think the body might be that of a kayaker who capsized and went missing off Pier 80 in 2011.
His body was never recovered.
