San Jose firefighters said on Wednesday said they found a body and a partially submerged van in a percolation pond.
The man's body was found about 7:30 a.m. in the pond near Berryessa Road and Morrill Ave.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff's dive team was sent to investigate. San Jose homicide detectives were on scene, as is standard, so that the department could investigate whether any foul play occurred.
As of about noon, detectives found nothing suspicious. They found that the driver rammed through a fence for unknown reasons.
Neighbors said this also happened in December when the pond was dry.
