The weather may have played a role in a crash that sent a car into an East Bay house, according to police.
The accident happened in El Sobrante around 6 a.m. Saturday morning. When police got to the scene, they found an overturned Honda that had slammed into the front stairs of the house.
The homeowner said when he heard the screeching tires, he knew exactly what had happened.
"People come speeding through this corner, usually its raining or something," Ray Wakida said. "They crashed in my front house at least three times."
Police said the driver had no visible injuries, but he was airlifted to a nearby hospital as a safety precaution.
Police are investigating the accident and have not yet said if they believe weather, alcohol, or drugs were a factor.
