A routine test-drive from a Concord car dealership ended with a crash and criminal charges.
The Lehmer's Concord Buick GMC salesman tells police the customer announced he was stealing the $70,000 van during the test drive.
The salesman bailed out when the van slowed down.
Police caught the driver after he crashed into a sound wall.
The dealership says everything seemed normal as the man gave them a copy of his driver’s license before the test drive.
The suspect, who was not named by police, was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, resisting arrest and stealing a car.
