A man and his dog were stabbed early Friday morning in San Francisco during some type of fight on the street.
A man in his late 20s was walking with his dog when they approached another man and dog about 1:30 a.m. at Broadway and Kearney Street.
The dogs began fighting, according to a police blotter, and one of the owners stabbed the other’s dog.
When a friend jumped in, one of the dog's owners stabbed him and his pet with a knife, the blotter stated. The victim was taken to the hospital with a cut to the hand, but no serious injuries. It was unclear whether the young men knew each other or not.
In April, two men with a knife stabbed a pit bull to death while it walked with its owner in the Mission District early one morning.
