A dog somehow made its way on BART tracks near the Coliseum station Wednesday morning, prompting major delays systemwide, according to the transit agency.
The dog was safely recovered roughly 50 minutes after the incident was reported, according to BART.
BART initially notified the public at 8:09 a.m. that a dog was on a trackway and that the incident was triggering 10 minute delays. Roughly 10 minutes later, BART reported that the incident was causing major delays.
Trains in the area were forced to single-track while crews tried to capture the dog, according to BART.
