Harrison Ford was spotted in San Francisco’s trendy Hayes Valley neighborhood over the weekend — shopping for — what else — adventure gear.
The “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” actor was at Triple Aught Design at 551 Hayes St. where he picked up some really cool stuff: a TAD Pursuit Half Zip wool sweater for himself, and a heather charcoal Merino wool Artemis Hoodie which was probably a gift.
Jon Bekefy, marketing manager at TAD — which is known for its outdoor clothing and equipment — describes the Pursuit as “Kind of 1993, ‘The Fugitive’ if you will.” Ford, who is 73, flies his own planes and his on screen pursuits have turned him into an adventure icon.
“The team was super excited to meet him,” Bekefy said. “We’re all big Star Was fans here – Indiana Jones is also great.”
Before leaving, Ford took a selfie with TAD’s sales employee Rufus Olivier, who tweeted it out, saying: “This is the best, H. Ford in the building at our #hayesvalley store. #starwars #hanssolo #MillenniumFalcon.”
“The Force Awakens” releases on Dec. 18.
