One person is dead following a fiery crash involving a bus carrying a choir from Alabama and four other vehicles on northbound Highway 101 in South San Francisco early Saturday morning.
The award-winning Aeolians choir from Oakwood University are still set to perform a free concert at Third Baptist Church in San Francisco on Sunday after several members were slightly injured in the bus crash that look place just south of Sierra Point, according to its spokesperson and California Highway Patrol.
Diaz said the person who died in the crash is an adult male. Three other patients were taken to an area hospital but their condition is currently unknown.
There were 19 people on the Peninsula Tour bus, including the driver, according to CHP Officer Bert Diaz. The bus was heading into the city after a late Friday night flight from Alabama when the accident involving four other vehicles occurred and the bus caught fire. The San Francisco Police Officer Association has also donated money to the choir to help replace some of their lost item as well.
