The father of a 5-month-old baby was arrested Monday morning in San Francisco after he briefly took off with the child, violating a visitation court order, according to police.
At 10:06 a.m., officers received a report that a child had been taken from a home near 27th Avenue and California Street in the city's Richmond District, police spokeswoman Officer Giselle Talkoff said.
After a preliminary investigation, officers determined the father left with the child following a family dispute. By about 10:45 a.m., the father and baby were located, according to Talkoff.
Officers determined the baby was unharmed and the mother of the baby did not want to press charges against the father, Talkoff said.
Police, however, arrested the father on suspicion of violating a court order, which limits when he could take the child, according to Talkoff.
