Two People Stabbed at Eastridge Mall

Police shut down the Macy's part of the mall during the investigation.

Portions of the Eastridge Shopping Mall were closed Saturday night due to a double stabbing that is thought to be gang related, according to San Jose police.

Two juvenile males received potentially life-threatening injuries in the attack inside the mall, which was reported shortly before 7:30 p.m., according to Officer Jose Garcia. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Three male suspects were seen fleeing the attack on foot. Police have detained three possible suspects at the mall.

Investigators closed the JC Penny and Macy's stores and a portion of the mall during the investigation, but other businesses remained open, Garcia said.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call San Jose police at (408) 277-8900.
