We know it's a little early to be looking at running mates for Mitt Romney, but, for the record, Condoleeza Rice is out.
Appearing on Fox News' "Fox and Friends" Tuesday, the former secretary of state said she's not interested in becoming Romney's running mate if he should get the nomination. Rice is now the Thomas and Barbara Stephenson Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institition at Stanford University.
When asked whether she would consider joining a Romney ticket, Rice said she prefers policy to politics. She suggested republicans start speculating about someone who "really wants to be in elected office."
Well, it was worth a shot.
