Applies to season tickets only.

The Oakland Unified School District is getting help from its  neighbors at the O.co Coliseum -- the Oakland Raiders, which announced Saturday it will donate a portion of ticket sales to the school district.

According to the Raiders, 10 percent of the gross ticket purchase price for all new season tickets purchased and paid in full between May 1 and June 30 will be donated to the school district.

"We are thrilled to announced our newest youth and community-based  initiative, and we are delighted to assist the Oakland Unified School District," Raiders CEO Amy Trask said in a statement Saturday morning.

Interested football fans can get information about the Raiders season ticket program by calling (800) RAIDERS (724-3377).

The Raiders will kick off their 2012 season when they host the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, August 13.
