The fact that 7-year-old Jacob Murphy is in the hospital this week is not stopping him for celebrating his team getting into Super Bowl XLVII.
Jacob has decked out his Lucile Packard's Children's Hospital room with 49er gear in preparation for Sunday's game.
“Jacob is absolutely ecstatic,” said his mom Rebecca Johnson.
The second-grader is an inpatient at the Children’s Heart Center suffering from congenital heart problems.
The hospital staff couldn't be happier to help keep up his spirits by showing his team spirit.
He is throwing a hospital room party come Sunday. The food selection, courtesy Jacob, is a Gameday Bucket of KFC.
Jacob says his favorite players are Frank Gore, Colin Kaepernick, Alex Smith and Vernon Davis.
