Expected to be announced next week, News Corp. and Apple have decided to table the launch for "weeks, not months," according to chatty sources of Peter Kafka at All Things D.
The well-resourced iPad app, The Daily, has been building staff and steam for months -- poaching high-powered editorial talent along the way.
The snag isn't the app or the content or partenership issues. Apparently it's about a new "push" feature in iTunes that auto-bills subscribers, with controllable frequency of checking account raids.
Apple has declined to comment (of course) but PR types at News Corp did confirm the delay.
