Classic Photo Shows Nellie With Baby Stephen Curry

You already know that Golden State Warriors fans produce more awesomely funny humorous PhotoShop pictures than any other fans in the NBA. But the most talked-about image going around Warrior Nation right now is 100 percent real and not a hoax. Someone found and put on the Internet a picture of Warriors' first-round draft pick Stephen Curry back before he was even 3-years-old, with a young Don Nelson standing behind him in the background.

The hilarious photograph in question was discovered by NBA.com feature writer John Schuhmann and quickly posted to his Twitter account. It's a picture from the 1992 NBA All-Star Weekend 3-Point Shootout, showing proud pop Dell Curry holding up his 35-month old toddler son Stephen Curry, now a 21-year-old Golden State Warrior. Behind the Currys lurks a spry, 51-year-old Don Nelson.

Baby Stephen Curry is quite adorable, and Don Nelson still had a little natural color in his hair. It would have been a really cute photograph, except that Drazen Petrovic is also visible.

Mitch Ricmond is also in the picture, taken just months after Nelson had traded him to Sacramento. Not surprisingly, Richmond is not speaking to Don Nelson in this photograph.

Dell Curry, then a Charlotte Hornet who was really fun to play as on "NBA Jam," was competing in the 3-Point Shootout eventually won by the Bulls' Craig Hodges. Nelson was onhand as the coach of the Western Conference team, as the '92 Mullin-era Warriors actually had the West's best record at mid-season.

If looking at that photograph makes you feel old, look at the bright side and realize that Don Nelson is 69-years-old. And he's stuck in the exact same job he had 17 years ago.
