What to Know: San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin Faces Recall on June 7
In the June 7 primary election, San Francisco voters will be asked whether to keep District Attorney Chesa Boudin in office, or recall him and let Mayor London Breed appoint his replacement. Boudin was elected to office after campaigning on a platform of ending mass incarceration and reforming a racist, broken justice system. But recall supporters blame him for a rise in thefts, break-ins and drug overdoses in the city.
