When will California's home insurance crisis end?

Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara’s office is currently negotiating what he calls a “historic deal” because insurance companies say we’re not paying enough to match their risk insuring our homes. Lara said the state will let them use new tech tools to set rates, but only if those companies insure more homes in wildfire areas.
