The San Jose Mercury News once called Sad Vicious the "most hated band in San Jose," which may be why they're throwing a holiday party in the East Bay.
If the moniker sounds slightly familiar, it's a takeoff on Sid Vicious, the infamous bassist from seminal punk band the Sex Pistols who died of a heroin overdose at age 21. Not very funny stuff, but the aesthetic of Sad Vicious definitely takes a comedic slant.
