A wildfire burning in Amador County trapped as many as 100 people who were enjoying the Fourth of July weekend at a beach along the Mokelumne River.
The fire has burned about 960 acres and triggered evacuations near the town of Jackson in Gold County, near Highway 49 and Electra Road.
A firefighter sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital, Cal Fire said.
