Crews Battle Wildfires in Tuolomne, Mendocino Counties
Two new wildfires exploded overnight in California. The Woods Fire began burning Thursday night near Sonora and Jamestown in Tuolomne County and mandatory evacuations are in effect for nearby areas. Crews are also battling the Walker Fire near Willits in Mendocino County, which has burned more than 100 acres and several neighborhoods are under evacuation orders.
