A new NBC Bay Area Field Poll shows Republican candidate Ted Cruz has surged in popularity when it comes to California voters.
According to a the poll, Cruz has 25 percent, while Trump has 23 percent.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is in third with 13 percent.
Retired neurosurgeon neurosurgeon Ben Carson has fallen to 9 percent.
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina remains near the bottom of the pack at 3 percent.
