UC Berkeley's Sierra Snow Lab reports more than a foot of snow fell since Saturday

NBC Universal, Inc.

The National Weather Service forecast for the greater San Francisco Bay Area for Sunday calls for temperatures cold enough to prompt a Frost Advisory for most inland areas of the region to start the day. Rob Mayeda has more.

UC Berkeley's Sierra Snow Lab said Sunday morning it received 13.6 inches of snow the previous 24 hours, and 25.6 inches the past week.

The most recent storm moved the site to 51 percent of median snowfall and 41 percent of median snowfall date, it said on social media.

The lab said it expects more snow Tuesday and Wednesday.
