Guilty or Not? Teen to Plead in Crashing into Man, Son

A 19-year-old man charged with felony hit-and-run for a crash that injured a man and critically wounded his 8-year-old son was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Santa Clara County Superior Court.

Marvin Martinez was arrested at his job Friday afternoon for allegedly crashing into the boy and his father, who were walking in a crosswalk at Story Road and Adrian Way on their way to Mildred K. Goss Elementary School the morning of Jan. 26, according to police.

The boy suffered a head injury and was knocked unconscious, and the father sustained an injury to his leg.

Martinez will be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. in Department 23 of Santa Clara County Superior Court, 190 W. Hedding St. in San Jose.
