2 Bay Area residents win MacArthur ‘genius' grants

The MacArthur Fellowship or the “genius grant” is one of the most prestigious prizes in the country. Two Bay Area residents were picked this year and are given $800,000 to spend however they want. Raj Mathai speaks with San Francisco resident Patrick Makuakāne on this.
