A 32-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when a group of suspects knocked him unconscious and stole his belongings near San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf on Saturday night, police said Monday.
The robbery and assault was reported at 10:36 p.m. Saturday in the area of Columbus Avenue and Beach Street.
Police said six suspects approached the victim from behind and knocked him unconscious, causing a skull fracture that is considered life-threatening.
The suspects took his backpack and cellphone and remain at large as of Monday. No detailed descriptions of them were immediately released.
