Apple's rumored latest purchase might be all about removing the middleman.
The Cupertino-based technology company is reportedly making a move to purchase flash manufacturer Anobit.
The Israeli company makes a flash chip that Apple uses in its iPhone, iPad and MacBook Air computers.
Anobit also boasts to have the world's fastest embedded Flash controller for both smartphones and tablets.
The rumored $400 to $500 million move would be Apple's first purchase of an Israeli company. But it could be a vital one as the company ramps up production of its iPhone and iPad to continue to meet increased demand.
