South San Francisco 5th-Graders' Mission To Honor Civil Rights Icon Ruby Bridges Continues To Spread
On this day in 1960, a 5-year-old African American girl named Ruby Bridges walked into a Louisiana elementary school and made history. On Thursday, 59 years later, some South San Francisco school children are making a bit of their own history, walking in Ruby’s footsteps of social change.
