Bay Area Halloween Events Guide 2024

Spooky season has officially arrived! From spooky mazes to more family-friendly ones, we've compiled a list below of events in the Bay Area to help you celebrate this Halloween season!

Berkeley: Harvest Festival

Address: Cedar Rose Park, 1300 Rose Street, Berkeley, CA

Time and Date: Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • The City of Berkeley is hosting the family-friendly Harvest Festival.
  • The event will feature live music, a seed swap, a food contest and more
  • There were be a "Kids Zone" that will have pumpkin decorating, face painting, carnival games and more.

Gilroy: Gilroy Gardens' The Great Big BOO!

Address: 3050 Hecker Pass Hwy, Gilroy, CA

Time and Date: Select nights through Oct. 27

  • The Great Big BOO! event is back at Gilroy Gardens and it's family friendly.
  • The event will feature a live musical show, trick and treats on the boo trail and many more.

Half Moon Bay: Lemos Farm's Pumpkin Patch

Address: 12320 San Mateo Rd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019, USA

Dates: Open daily starting Oct. 2

  • Lemos Farm's Pumpkin Patch has activities the whole family can enjoy.
  • Some of the attractions include pony rides, train rides, a petting zoo.
  • The haunted house attraction features two versions: a scary version and a more family-friendly non-scary version.

Livermore: Frightmare Home Haunt

Address: 697 Sonoma Avenue in Livermore

Dates: Oct. 25 and 26 from 7 p.m. to 11p.m., and on Oct. 31 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • This unique event is celebrating it's 10th season at a home in Livermore.
  • Organizers say Frightmare Home Haunt will feature two new rooms and some fan favorities.
  • The attraction is free but donations are appreciated, organizers say.
  • This event is recommended for guests 10 years and up.

Morgan Hill: Spina Farms Pumpkin Patch

  • The attraction includes an express train, a dinosaur walk, a hayride, a corn maze and many more.

Newark: Fear Overload Scream Park

  • The annual Halloween attraction has returned in Newark.
  • This Halloween attraction offers walk-throughs that will be filled with scares and the return of their trained actors in costume to scare the guests.

Oakland: Halloween Jam at Children's Fairyland

Santa Clara: California's Great America's Tricks and Treats

San Jose: Unhinged: Hotel Winchester Mystery House
