A winter storm system that brought rain, wind and rare low-elevation snow to the Bay Area left the area Saturday as it headed south.
Reports of snow in the region started pouring in Wednesday afternoon. Even more snow fell Thursday night into Friday morning.

People line up to see snow at Mt. Diablo State Park
Staff reopened the North Gate and South Gate roads into Mt. Diablo State Park for visitors Saturday morning. The roads at Mt. Diablo State Park had been closed due to the snowfall over the past few days, with the park sharing on Facebook that staff needed time to clear snow and downed tree limbs from the roads.

CHP: Avoid Patterson Pass Road into Tri-Valley
The California Highway Patrol on Friday morning was urging commuters to avoid Patterson Pass Road into the Tri-Valley due to weather conditions causing major delays, according to a tweet from CHP Dublin. The traffic advisory did not specify if the conditions were rainy or snowy or something else.
Highway 17 shut down in both directions
Both directions of Highway 17 in the Santa Cruz Mountains were shut down early Friday, because of downed trees, a jackknifed big rig and snow at the summit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Highway 29 closure in North Bay
The California Highway Patrol closed Highway 29 in Napa County on Thursday night due to "hazardous roadway conditions."
At this time, Highway 29 is closed between Tubbs Lane (Calistoga) and Bradford Road. They are asking drivers to reduce travel if possible.
