Fire season is here and emergency crews are on alert due to hot and dry conditions across the Bay Area.

Forward progress stopped on Castro Valley brush fire
The Alameda County Fire Department posted on social media Sunday that they responded to a fire in Castro Valley.
The fire was burning by the westbound lanes of Interstate 580 near Eden Canyon and Palomares.
According to officials, witnesses reported a car on fire in the area. Crews were able to stop the forward progress of the fire at three acres.
No other details were released.
San Jose residential fire leaves one injured

Firefighters responded to a two-alarm residential fire in San Jose on Saturday that injured one person.
The blaze impacted a two-story single-family residence on the 4600 block of Thornhaven Way, according to the San Jose Fire Department.
All occupants were reported to have made it out of the home. One of the residents suffered burn injuries, per SJFD.
Brush fire near Interstate 580 sparks evacution order in Oakland
Firefighters on Friday afternoon responded to a three-alarm vegetation fire near I-580.
An evacuation order was issued for Campus Drive and Crystal Ridge Court.
