California Highway Patrol officers shut down the first off ramp going westbound in San Francisco after a gas leak occurred nearby.
Officers shut down the Fremont Street off ramp in San Francisco at about 9:30 a.m. when the leak occurred at Fremont Street and Folsom street near the bottom of the ramp.
They opened the offramp at about 10:15 a.m. and then partially closed it about 15 minutes later.
Drivers were encouraged to take the 5th Street off ramp while the incident was taking place.
