The Bay Area BeyHive were in formation on Wednesday, just hours before pop superstar Beyoncé took the stage at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
There was so much excitement as the concert merchandise was selling fast.
Skyler Ryan of Oakland was on a mission. Dressed in head-to-toe silver, he came to Levi’s Stadium early Wednesday morning.
“I got here at 2 a.m. to make sure that I was, not only the first one here, But to make sure I got the spot I needed,” Ryan said.
Ryan didn’t even seem to mind the sizzling temperatures and smoky skies.
“It’s extremely hot, especially with this hat on, but it’s worth it. I will wait in 100-degree heat for Beyoncé if I have to,” he said.
Ryan wasn’t alone, by mid-morning Wednesday, more diehard fans joined him in line ,sharing pizza and of course, a love of Beyoncé.
“I like how she is confident. I like that she promotes community. And most importantly, I think I really resonate with her as a Black woman. It's really nice to see that she’s doing what she wants and she doesn’t care what anyone thinks,” said Gilroy resident Candace Eje.

The “Renaissance” tour stop in Santa Clara brought fans from as far as Australia and New Zealand.
“We had no money for flights or nothing. But we had tickets and that’s all that mattered,” said Xavier Muller of New Zealand.
"My sister’s getting married in New York. So, we thought we make a stop and we love Beyoncé,” said Abby de Luna of Australia.
More than 50,000 fans were expected to help boost the city of Santa Clara’s economy with the sold-out event.
“It’s our bucket list. So, we just decided this morning to go, not at work, skipped work and now we're here,” said San Jose resident Craig Parks.
Most of Beyoncé’s fans donned silver. It was a last minute request from the Queen Bey herself, who was named honorary mayor of Santa Clara. Beyoncé is celebrating her birthday Sept. 4 and asked people to dress in shiny clothes.
The concert started at 8 p.m. and Beyoncé was already approved by the city of Santa Clara to perform beyond the 10 p.m. curfew.
After Wednesday night's show, Beyoncé will head to Southern California for three shows starting on Friday at SoFi Stadium.
