Craigslist Donates $1M Settlement to Electronic Frontier Foundation

Craigslist is donating $1 million received in a legal settlement to the nonprofit digital rights defender Electronic Frontier Foundation.

According to TechCrunch, a lawsuit between the popular online marketplace and community hub and data company 3taps over the use of its data that raged for three years has resulted in the monetary award to Craigslist that is now earmarked for the EFF.

Ars Technica reported that 3taps will shut down as a result of the payout.
