A gas line in Cupertino that developed a leak has been secured and evacuation and shelter-in-place orders for the area have been lifted, the Santa Clara County Fire Department said.
The evacuation and shelter-in-place orders affecting the area of the 7800 block of Creekline Drive were lifted effective 11:15 a.m., the fire department said.
All residents may return home and are safe to move about the neighborhood, the fire department said.
A Pacific Gas and Electric spokesman confirmed that the issue had been addressed.
"We stopped the leak at 10:26 a.m. and crews are currently onsite working as safely and quickly as possible to make repairs," said J.D. Guidi, a PG&E spokesman.
Expanding on the PG&E spokesman's comments, "Your radiator blew a hose and it's leaking. You stop the leak and then you make repairs. They are making repairs so they can re-functionalize it," said Matt Mokhtarian, information officer for Santa Clara County Fire.
Mokhtarian confirmed that there were no injuries in the incident.

Guidi said, "We received the first report at 8:01 a.m. this morning. A gas service representative was onsite at 8:15 a.m. and a leak was found on a half-inch plastic service line at 7828 Creekline Drive.
"(The leak) only impacted the one customer; only one customer is without service," Guidi said.

The cause of the leak is under investigation, according to Guidi.
"I was told it appears there was a water leak as well, which may have impacted our line and is under investigation," Guidi said.
