The search for a missing San Mateo hiker will continue Monday but on a much lower scale.
Doug May, 55, disappeared Thursday after he went hiking in the Skeggs Point area along Skyline Boulevard, not far from Highway 92. He is well-known to rangers in the area, as he hikes there often.
Sheriff's deputies and volunteers armed with tracking dogs launched a search Friday that continued into the weekend.
Crews will focus on an area where they think May might have fallen and could injured. The rugged hillsides and dense brush are making the search difficult.
