At least one person is dead following a wrong-way crash on southbound Highway 85 in San Jose Sunday morning.
The accident occurred just after 8 a.m. near the De Anza Boulevard off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, they received a report of a car driving northbound on southbound lanes of Highway 85 near Saratoga Boulevard. The crash happened a short time later.
At least three vehicles including a taxi van and a Tesla were involved in the crash. Video from the scene showed two vehicles heavily damaged with debris spread across the freeway.
Traffic was diverted off the freeway just north of Saratoga Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol said. The freeway was later reopened to traffic by the afternoon.
It's unknown at this time how many people in total were involved in the crash. The crash is currently under investigation.
