A preliminary 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck near Dublin on Tuesday, according to the USGS.

A preliminary 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck near Dublin Tuesday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake hit at 4:58 p.m. and was centered 3 miles west of Dublin, 5.1 miles south of San Ramon and 5.4 miles east of Castro Valley, the USGS said.
